Board of Directors

Ignacito U. Alvizo
Founder / Chairman Emeritus

  • Director Alvizo’s expertise in microfinance is highly recognized in the Philippines and abroad. He is a Certified Public Accountant who has extensive working experience as a consultant in microfinance and SME development in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
  • His experience and knowledge became tangible when he transformed Enterprise Bank from a single-unit rural bank in Surigao del Sur into an emerging thrift bank that gained a niche in MSME financing.
  • During his membership in the Board of EBI, he also held the chairmanship of Microfinance for Rural Development Inc.
  • He graduated from the University of San Carlos with a degree in Commerce; obtained a diploma in Small Enterprise Promotion with distinction from Delft University Research Institute for Management Science in Holland.
  • He is a former President of Mindanao Microfinance Council.

Richard M. Rodriguez
Director / Chairman of the Board

  • Mr. Richard M. Rodriguez is from Cebu City. He is a former professor at Salazar College and a businessman engaged in education, construction, and finance.
  • Before joining Enterprise Bank last January 2017, he was the President of the Rural Bank of Ronda from 2012-2013 before becoming one of its directors in 2013.
  • Mr. Rodriguez gained banking exposure being the Branch Manager of Merchants Bank and Consumer Lending Head of Insular Savings Bank.
  • He finished his Bachelor of Accountancy from Southwestern University in Cebu. He has a post-graduate degree in Master in Management from the University of San Jose Recoletos and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Southwestern University.

Maximino A. Salang, Jr.
Director

  • Maximino A. Salang, Jr. is a businessman in Davao City engaged in construction, heavy equipment rental, banana plantation, export production, and container yard operation. His expertise lies in marketing and business management.
  • He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2007 and was its chairman for several years.
  • He finished his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Southwestern University-Cebu.

Ronald E. Alvizo
Director

  • Atty. Alvizo has 14 years of experience in microfinance and rural banking operations. His expertise lies in the areas of rural financing, product development and implementation, corporate planning, banking and corporate law.
  • He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Ateneo de Davao University and a Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship from the Asian Institute of Management.
  • He was one of the pioneering organizers of the Mindanao Microfinance Council, an organization of microfinance institutions working towards the professionalization of the industry.
  • Atty. Ronald Alvizo was also a Director of the Rural Bankers Association of the Philippines and a member of the technical committee that developed the micro-housing product of the Development Bank of the Philippines.
  • Among Atty. Alvizo’s special projects are on SME development and financial inclusion to make banking products and services available to clients in the countryside not usually served by formal financial institutions. To him, EBI’s contribution to nation-building is to set up vibrant communities one enterprise at a time.

Alberto P. Capati
Director

  • Mr. Alberto P. Capati is an international consultant for enterprise and entrepreneurship development, business development services, and technical-vocational education and training. He has work experience in different countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
  • His career started by developing small and medium enterprises while working at the University of the Philippines - Institute for Small-Scale Industries as a training associate and eventually became the Director for Training and Director for Operations.
  • He was also Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson of the 888 Loans Corporation and the former President and Chairman of the Board of the Philippine CEFE Network Foundation, Inc.
  • Mr. Capati finished his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the Ateneo de Manila University and completed the academic units for Masters in Business Administration at the De La Salle University. Throughout his professional career, he obtained diplomas and certifications from various institutions in the Philippines and abroad.

Lung Fai "Arthur" Chan
Director

  • Mr. Chan is an experienced businessman engaged in the fields of manufacturing and trading.
  • Director Chan holds a degree in Architecture from the Unversity of Sto. Tomas graduated in 1982.
  • In 2017, he joined Enterprise Bank as an independent director.

Roberto F. Salazar
Executive Director

  • An alumnus of Notre Dame of Marbel University and a Certified Public Accountant, Director Salazar has over 29 years of experience in the banking industry with a strong background in Consumer and Commercial lending. In his banking career, he played a significant role in attaining a successful loan portfolio of banks.
  • With contemporary corporate and banking strategies, Director Salazar has successfully guided banking institutions to achieve goals leading to maximized profits and financial performance. He helped banks expand by targeting new growth opportunities while improving credit portfolio quality and tailored consumer products.
  • He has been recognized frequently for his outstanding sales record and consistent achievements.

Eson D. Sta Ana
Independent Director

  • Mr. Eson D. Sta Ana graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration degree from the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. He also earned his Certificate in Business Economics from the University of Asia and the Pacific and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker.
  • He is a seasoned banker with more than 25 years of banking experience. Numerous banks were able to grow their loan portfolio because of his competence in lending to micro, small, medium and large enterprises.
  • His exposure in bank lending includes management posts in the areas of Consumer Loans, Microfinance Loans, SME Loans, Corporate Loans and Syndicated Loans.
  • He currently holds the positions of President and Shareholder of a trading firm that links local clients with domestic or international suppliers for the procurement of finished goods and/or raw materials.
